I think I have reverse body dysmorphia because I don’t think I’m that much smaller than I used to be… then I see old videos and can’t believe that was me 😂
Fifteen years chasing mastery in one lane. Now I’m back at the starting line in another. Green. Awkward. Uncomfortable. Some days it humbles me. Some days it fires me up. But this is part of what makes life fun, areas of expertise where only discipline and consistency can move you forward.
Been sick probably half of December, but hey I guess it’s a way to get lean during the holidays. Felt good to get back in the gym and move my body (even if it’s more embarrassing movements I suck at). I am dedicated to be moving and feeling like a new man by the end of this year. @stndrd momentum building challenge sign is still open for a few days and it looks like I’m going to be trying to add some muscle not cut after this month. Arguably my greatest accident / accomplishment / stroke of luck, whatever you want to call it, has been being so stubborn in my values that I have been fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best people. The funny thing is I have been willing many times to sacrifice “success” for what is more important to me and it has lead me somewhere even greater than I could’ve imagined.

After a decade and a half of progressing in the gym at the expense of regressing all forms of range of motion, I’m proud of this work. Still lottts aches, pains and bad patterns to rework, but I’m excited for this new season of looking AND feeling good. Super grateful for @justinkingpro working with my broken ass creating a plan to turn me back into a functioning human. Dude probably gets a text every day like “hey this hurts what can we do”🫠 but we’re making progress!!!
Sunday nap time = garage workout. Started with a 30 minute bike ride around the neighborhood and then did 45 seconds on the rower in between sets of: Incline curls Pull ups Dead bugs Hammer curls PS just felt like I’d add the fact that we had pancakes for breakfast 🥞
