Dill Pickle Tree for Day 24 of our Recipe Advent Calendar 🥒🎄🎁 Merry Christmas Eve!! We know it’s last minute, but if you’re hosting a second Christmas this weekend, you might want to add this pickle tree to your appetizer/cocktail spread. (It’s perfect for a brunch spread paired with bloody Marys!) To make it: Use a ~10” tall styrofoam cone. Cut a bunch of toothpicks in half. Insert the broken half into the styrofoam cone all over the tree, then spear the pickles on the pointy ends of the toothpicks. It will look a bit crazy at first, but keep going! After you finish a layer of pickles, you can fill in with other pickled vegetables like asparagus or Brussels sprouts. Next, tuck dill and rosemary sprigs in between the pickled vegetables. They should stay put without any toothpicks as long as the pickles are fairly close together. Next, fill in with “ornaments”. We used olives, mozzarella pearls, and sweety drop peppers. Lastly, cut a star out of a big piece of cheese, then place it on top of the tree. Cheers! Thank you so much for all of your support and love on our recipes this month! We hope you have a wonderful holiday and enjoy lots of delicious food.

I love a slice and bake so much – they always look so beautiful. This one is packed with pistachios, candied citrus peel, golden raisins, and it has a bit of almond extract (our secret cookie ingredient for adding so much nostalgic flavor!)
