Tri-Services #DefenceForcesVeteransDay Rally, coordinated by #HQWNC was conducted at #INSISagar on 14 January 2026. Lieutenant General DS Kushwah #GOC MG & G Area was the Chief Guest at the event. In his address, the GOC apprised veteran community on various initiatives and measures being progressed for welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. He encouraged veteran community to continue contributing to civil society and national character, by their discipline, commitment and patriotism, and as role models for both the #ArmedForces and citizens of the country. Vice Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale #COS #WNC and Wadodkar AOC MAO, other serving officers and veteran officers and sailors were present on the occasion. #IndianNavy
A delegation from DGA #France led by Brigadier General Mickael Le Cam, Director Asia Pacific, visited #HQWNC #Mumbai on 14 January 2026. During an interaction with Rear Admiral Arvind Rawal, #CSO (Tech), #WNC areas of cooperation, maintenance and logistics support related to indigenously built Scorpene class submarines were discussed. A tribute to #veterans whose courage, dedication and sacrifice remain etched in the Nation's Conscience In a solemn ceremony marking the 10th #ArmedForcesVeteransDay Shri Suresh Gopi, Hon'ble #MinisterofState Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas laid a wreath at #SNC #WarMemorial #Kochi reflecting the spirit of solidarity and citizen's reverence for the fallen. On this occasion, Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, #FOCINC #SNC also laid wreath in remembrance of the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in service to the nation. Vice Admiral K N Sushil (Retd), President Navy Foundation Chapter #Kerala along with distinguished veterans from all three Services paid tributes. It was a day filled with nostalgia camaraderie and reflection of shared journey as more than 200 veterans and their families attended the event. The Hon'ble Minister expressed gratitude for their unwavering contribution and felicitated the Gallantry award winner veterans. A visit onboard Naval ship was also organised for the veterans. #IndianNavy
#IndianNavy’s Naval History Division conducted a thought-provoking panel discussion today at #NDWBF2026 on “Creating Rule-Based Order: Role of the Indian Navy”, moderated by Associate Professor Abhimanyu Singh Arha, #JNU with Lieutenant Commander Anupama Thapliyal and Lieutenant Jeevitesh Saharan as panelists. The discussions underscored Indian Navy’s pivotal role in crisis response and maritime governance - from operations ashore during the 1961 Liberation of #Goa to anti-piracy missions in the #IOR - highlighting the Navy’s contribution to maintaining stability and protecting maritime commons. The session was well received by audience and generated keen interest and interaction. Vice Admiral C R Praveen Nair, #CPS visited the venue and interacted with the NHD staff, appreciating their efforts in setting up the naval pavilion and showcasing Indian Navy’s proud history and contemporary role.
13th Edition of #IndianNavy - #SriLankaNavy Staff talks were successfully concluded on 14 January 2026 at #Colombo. IndianNavy - Daring and Caring #INSIkshak hosted senior dignitaries from the UTL Administration, students and faculty of PM Shri Govt Sr Sec School #Kavaratti during the ongoing Joint Services Multi-Speciality #MedicalCamp at #Lakshadweep. The visit offered firsthand insight into life at sea, #IndianNavy’s capabilities and IN's role in supporting community engagement initiatives and medical outreach.
As part of the Joint Services Multi Speciality #MedicalCamp a series of health care awareness activities, amongst the students were conducted at #Kavaratti. A Basic Life Support (BLS) Training programme was organised for students of the #GovernmentNursingCollege Kavaratti. A health talk and interactive session on physical and mental wellness was conducted for students and faculty members of the #GovtITICollege Kavaratti. The session focused on healthy lifestyle practices, stress management and mental health resilience. Additionally, a health education session on stress management and positive health was conducted at #KendriyaVidyalaya Kavaratti. #IndianNavy continues to strengthen health awareness and promote preventive care through sustained outreach.
