Delivering #NavyDay2025 Press Address from the decks of the indigenous warships #INSHimgiri and #INSMumbai, Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, #FOCINC, Eastern Naval Command, reaffirmed the Navy Day 2025 theme: “Indian Navy – Combat Ready, Cohesive, Aatmanirbhar – Safeguarding Seas for a Viksit, Samriddha Bharat.” He lauded the courage, professionalism and sacrifice of every sailor, officer and defence civilian who remains unwavering in safeguarding our seas—secure and sovereign. Highlighting the Navy’s vast and multidimensional responsibilities, the CinC spoke of key recent operations in the Command, from #OpSindoor to the ongoing #HADR mission #SagarBandhu in #SriLanka. He also outlined preparations for major international events to be hosted at #Vizag in February 2026 — #IFR2026, #MILAN2026, and the #IONS Conclave of Chiefs. Reaffirming that #IndianNavy remains steadfast in strengthening #India’s maritime security, he underscored its emergence as the preferred security partner. The Admiral also conveyed his gratitude to State Governments and civil administrations for their sustained support. #NavyDay2025 As part of #NavyDay2025 and outdoor adventure activities, Material Organisation #Vizag organised a trekking expedition to Surya Top (12,900 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas for a team of ten service personnel.
