제주 서쪽에서 중요한 요지였던 곳에서 카페를 운영해. 한림읍 옹포리라는 작은 마을이고, 작은 마을이지만 제주의 서쪽에서 곡물 수확후 중요한 도정이 이뤄졌던 정미소가 있었어. 옹포정미소. 그 옹포정미소라는 이름을 그대로 지켜 운영하고 있는 카페 옹포정미소야. 제주 서쪽에서 중요한 정미소였고, 이 전통을 이어가기 위해 곡물을 활용한 디저트를 개발하고 판매하고 있어. 옹포정미소의 시그니처 메뉴들이 모두 그런 것이니 관심 많이 가져줘. 요즘은 새해라서 그런지 카페에서 개발한 제주통곡물도넛강정 세트, 일명 제주디저트동고량의 판매가 늘고 있어 제주산 보리, 기장, 메밀 감귤, 초당옥수수, 딸기에 국내산 쌀조청을 이용해서 만든 영양도 좋고 맛도 좋은 강정이야. 맛보여 줄 수 있는 날이 많았으면 좋겠어.
