hey. Did you know? Reels can now be 90 seconds. Considering how fast paced things are now, and how the most trending videos are the 3 second ones, this is not where it’s at. But when I found out about the time extension, I felt relieved to have a bit more room to take my time. I’ll do this occasionally. Japgokbap • multigrain rice • I get asked about my rice all the time so here’s my super lazy but effective way to be a little more healthy with something I eat almost daily! Enjoy xx *the “blood sugar spike” in Korean became sort of an unserious expression to describe food coma / heavy carb meals! I don’t actually track my blood sugar since I’m not at risk for diabetes

😅 yup I had a blonde phase. And a pink hair phase. But had to repost this because even after all my hair phases it’s still a great tip for my people with withering scallions in the fridge. Generally what I’ve learned is that I’m better off not trusting myself if I haven’t used the scallions for 24 hours 🤪 its either gonna end up slimy in another week, or freshly frozen to last me another month.
Spinach Banchan 🍃 when you live alone :) you can easily kill a bag or two of spinach this way in a week, instead of forgetting about the leftovers that become mushy in the fridge! Enjoy !
Tteokguk • Posting this a bit early in case you need the recipe for tomorrow morning 🍲 Ring in the new year with the soup that every Korean person needs to start the day with as an old, timeless tradition: tteokguk. Our ancestors cut the rice cakes into thin and round slices to resemble the coins that were used as their main currency, to wish an abundant year. The white color of the soup also signals a blank slate and a new start.
