My holiday de puff lymphatic drainage routine that SAVES me every single trip 🤍✨ …especially on a hen do when there’s been late nights, lots of food, travel + all the inflammation 😅 If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know I’m obsessed with anti inflammatory living, and this 6 step lymphatic drainage routine is one of my TOP HACKS when I’m feeling puffy, bloated or just a bit sluggish (i do it every morning before breakfast - even on holiday!) I originally learnt this routine from @stopchasingpain and I genuinely do it almost every morning - even when I’m away!I it only takes a few mins but makes SUCH a difference for me. ✨ The lymphatic system basically helps move fluid + toxins around the body, so when things get a little “stuck” (flights, alcohol, stress + lack of sleep 🫠) I find gentle movement like this really helps me feel less swollen + gets my digestion going too 💩 I’ve also been trying another lymphatic drainage routine by a magical lady called Greta recently which I’m going to share soon too, so follow along for more de puff / anti inflammatory hacks 🤍✨@sophie.richards #lymphaticdrainage #lymphaticdrainagemassage #lymphaticmassage #depuff #debloat

The advice that nearly cost me my life!!! 🤍 For years, doctors told me to just ‘manage my pain’ with willpower and the pill, and of course, to wait until I was trying for kids…that’s when they take you seriously, RIGHT?!?!? Absolutely not!! BUT of course, you trust your doctors & this trust only led to my condition getting 10x worse - the pain, the bloating, the fatigue was all so unbearable. So, when I finally had the surgery, which confirmed my endo diagnosis, it made me realise the importance of advocating for yourself! Its hard, I get it but YOU should get that 2nd opinion, find a specialist, use Jess’ rule (highly recommend reading about this new 3-strike rule) because I never want anyone to go through what I did!! You deserve to be heard, you deserve to have your symptoms cracked, and you deserve to have an answer!! SAVE this as your reminder to advocate for yourself and send this to someone who needs to hear this! 🤍 #endometriosis #medicaladvocacy #chronicillness #healthadvice #womenshealth

5 signs my body was more inflamed than I realised 👇 I look back at all my symptoms before my endo diagnosis & question why I was told everything I went through was ‘normal’!! It’s wild to think that so many women are being dismissed, but good newsss everyone, we have Jess’s rule (definitely do some research on it if you don’t know what it is!!) But to summarise if you’re seeing your GP with the same symptoms 3x, your doctors have to rethink your diagnosis. So these 5 symptoms is what led to me advocating for my diagnosis: 1. I woke up puffy, even after 8 hours of sleep 2. I had skin flare ups with no obvious triggers 3. I was exhausted but my blood tests came back ‘normal’ 4. I had brain fog that coffee or exercise couldn’t fix 5. My periods were getting worse, not better! Now, to help with all of these symtoms, I live an anti-inflammatory lifestyle (it’s not a diet to lose weight, it’s a way of living)!! And if you don’t where to start, comment ‘RESET30’ for my full-body 30 day reset with over 80 anti-inflammatory recipes!!! Reminder - While this isn’t a checklist to diagnose yourself with endo, or any inflammatory condition. If you notice yourself constantly suffering with these, then please get yourself checked out by a doctor x #womenshealth #antiinflammatoryliving #inflammation #endometriosis #medicaladvocacy

My NEW lymphatic drainage routine & it takes less than 5 minutes! 🤍 There are so many routines you can do, and I just have to give @movewithgreta creds for this one! If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I’m sworn to my 6-step lymphatic drainage routine (currently pinned to my profile), but sometimes you just need something new & easy…and this routine works just as well to reduce my puffiness, bloating & sluggishness. (Also, if you want the real-time version, comment “MOVE” for the link) ✨ A bit about lymphatic drainage - it basically helps move fluid + toxins around the body, so a little bit of gentle movement has really helped me feel less swollen, get my digestion working & heading straight to the loo! 💩 Here are the 8 steps for this routine: - arm circles x5 each way - side stretches with a wrist pull x3 each side - shoulder shrugs x5 - arm twists x10 - rag dolls x5 - full body arm swings x10 - heel raises x10 - one big arm circle Do it in your pyjamas, do it with me now or just SAVE it for the morning! Follow along for more de puff/anti-inflammatory hacks! @sophie.richards #lymphaticdrainage #lymphaticdrainagemassage #lymphaticdrainageroutine #debloat #depuff

3 Aldi Supermarket Swaps…Don’t buy THIS, buy THAT! Another episode of my anti-inflammatory supermarket food swaps. For context…I’ve made these swaps because for 10 years I’ve struggled with extreme bloating, painful periods & inflammation - all because I have endometriosis. Through my research as a women’s health practitioner, I’ve learned of the magical power of whole foods & how disruptive UPF (ultra-processed foods) can be for your body! This week I’m in @aldi & here are 3 foodie bits that are my non-negotiable swaps for a healthier lifestyle!! And I’m sorry to say it, but those protein greek yogurt pots are not doing a lot of favours for your gut!! 🤷‍♀️ If you’re looking to avoid the 💩 on the shelves & choose healthier options, SAVE this & give me a follow @sophie.richards for more UPF supermarket swaps! Comment below what supermarket or aisle you want to see next! (p.s. I eat this way 90% of the time…UPF’s aren’t great but they’re also unavoidable from time to time - and I love an almond croissant as you know! BUT making these simple swaps over the years has made the world of difference!) #womenshealth #antiinflammatory #supermarketswaps #healthyswaps #endometriosis

The winter hormone reset retreat is here … I created this retreat because I believe women deserve a proper pause - Not a “push through it” kind of winter, a real one. Summer is magical (and im LOVING it too) but I also know the dread of darker evenings and that lingering feeling that winter is looming, and I want to change that! 4 days in a cosy country venue in Glastonbury, exclusively ours. No other guests, no distractions. Just you, a small group of like-minded women, and an all-female team who genuinely care. Here’s what’s waiting for you: - Pilates and yoga (all levels welcome) - Yin yoga - Sound bath - Winter hormone reset talk - Nervous system and journalling session - Anti-inflammatory food + workshop with our chef - Full spa access (sauna, jacuzzi, heated pool) - Every meal prepared by our specialist chef (GF and DF options throughout) - ntention setting and letting go ceremonies - I’ll be there the entire weekend. Whether you come on your own or bring a friend, I’ll make sure you feel welcome from the moment you arrive! This is the retreat I’ve always wanted to attend, everyone’s welcome - and I’m so excited to be hosting it for you. Comment “SEND” and I’ll pop the details straight into your DMs 🤍 #WomensHealthRetreat #WinterWellness #HormoneHealth #AntiInflammatoryLiving #FoundWomensHealth

13 years of battling my skin and I’m STILL figuring it out ad Anti-inflammatory living changed my life, but my skin is very much a work in progress. So I’ve been doing what I always do when something isn’t clicking - diving into the research. Not products, but ingredients - and trying to find out what actually supports skin quality from the inside! A few things kept coming up: • Vitamin C, which supports collagen formation in normal skin • Zinc, which is essential to help maintain normal skin The research confirmed what I already suspected - that skincare doesn’t stop at your skin. It’s what we’re putting into our bodies too - which from a wholefood queen is annoying because I felt like I was DOING IT ALL! I’ve been like Goldilocks trying to find THE ONE food supplement that ticks all the boxes - and so far the one that’s caught my eye is IMEDEEN Derma One (plus my friend recommended it too so bonus points) It has vitamin C and zinc in, which is why I wanted it - but also think it’s cool that it has an exclusive Marine Complex as a bonus! IMEDEEN Derma One is scientifically proven to reduce the signs of ageing in as little as 12 weeks and helps improve moisture balance to maintain a radient complexion. As someone with combination dry/oily skin, that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m not saying this is THE answer after 13 years. But I’m genuinely excited to try something backed by science that actually targets what I’ve been looking for. 12 weeks is the promise so I’ll keep you posted 👀!! Available at @bootsuk now and it’s on 3 for 2 on selected Vitamins and Supplements, subject to availability. Cheapest free. Online only. #bootsuk #skinjourney #skincare #vitaminc #zinc

5 things I pack for holidays to avoid the bloat!!! AD The extreme bloating I’d get on holiday made them less enjoyable...because with holidays comes eating out every day, airport food, disrupted routines…and a whole lot of endo symptoms. BUT since my diagnosis & my own research, these 5 things are now my holiday essentials!!! 1. Herbal teas - peppermint is my go-to for digestion and dandelion for water retention! 2. My @epetome_co probiotic - its a holiday staple!!! It’s true what they say a healthy gut is the key to feeling your best!! It’s helped to keep the bloat away & a little TMI but it’s kept everything regular 💩 3. Compression socks - okay I must admit they’re not the nicest to look at but they do work wonders! Trust me they will help with the puffiness. 4. Suncream - Don’t let your face bloat!! It’s so important to keep yourself topped up with SPF to avoid skin damage. The Alturist is my FAVE & it’s super affordable too! 5. Flowly clothes - because ‘tight pant syndrome’ exists! Choose comfort over fashion! I hope this helps you avoid the bloat on holiday!! I’d love to know your holiday essentials to avoid the bloat/inflamation! Save this for your next holiday!! Comment “HOLIDAY10” and I’ll send you the link to my epetome with my code (you get 10% off)!! #womenshealth #bloating #holidaybloat #endometriosis #inflammation

5 things my undiagnosed endometriosis took from me 👇💔 5 years without a diagnosis, 5 years of constant pain, 5 whole years were taking away from me…and while that is SUCH a long time, so many women are waiting much longer… What endo took from me: 1. My 20’s - my life looked pretty different, I didn’t have that typical student life, I had to cancel plans, miss out with friends & the isolation that came with it was just heartbreaking. 2. My confidence - being told it was ‘just periods’ for so long made me doubt myself (even though I knew something was wrong). 3. My relationships - I shouldn’t be sorry for saying this but sex was painful (Ik TMI but it’s true)!!! It killed my romantic relationship. AND on a personal level, cancelling plans with friends killed my friendships too! 4. My sense of control - forget holidays because the extreme bloating was not worth it. I had to end my travelling trip because the pains got so bad. 5. My peace - I never knew when my next flare up would be and this caused so much anxiety. BUT…it led to an amazing community. A community of women, honestly you have no idea how much you’ve got me through this, and I can finally give back…If you didn’t know I’m building a community of women called @found.womenshealth so go give it a follow 💗 If you’re still waiting for answers, keep advocating for yourself. Keep demanding answers! If your doctor isn’t listening, ask to see someone else. NOT all doctors are the same!!! Save this for YOU or someone who needs to hear it 💗

After 5 years of undiagnosed endometriosis, I now look back at my 4 major symptoms and wonder why I was never diagnosed sooner!! So, for a bit of context from the age of 17 I was basically hit with this agonising pain, and it sounds dramatic saying this…BUT it literally ruined my teen years and early 20’s. Most of my memories are going in and out of hospital, having surgeries, feeling unwell and cancelling plans with friends - looking back it felt like a never-ending battle. At the time I was growing up in a small Welsh town and a lot of doctors just couldn’t figure out what was going wrong - there wasn’t a lot of info available, a lot of confusion, and I mean 1 doctor told me that I might have 2 wombs. It’s crazy to think that 10% of women worldwide have endometriosis but still to this day it’s an under-researched condition!! Now I have my endo diagnosis, I look back at these 4 symptoms and think all that pain I experienced just makes sense: 1. Shooting pain in my rectum - yep a very sexy symptom but in all truth it should be talked about. I later found out I had endo in a place called the pouch of Douglas (the area between the wall of the uterus and the rectum) 2. Heavy periods - Going through 2 pads an hour and having a 10 day period made life so so difficult! 3. Ovulation pain - in the middle of my cycle I would swell up, get this tugging pain in my stomach and it just took every grain of energy out of me! 4. Constant extreme bloating - the questions that went through my head was INSANE! Trying the keto diet, the carnivore diet, honestly any diet to help & my bloating was just not getting any better. BUT when I learnt about the AIP diet (lots of info about this on my page), this was the saving grace to my endo journey!! That’s why I preach about anti-inflam living on a daily basis!!! Anyway, I hope this vid gives you or someone you know a little bit of hope that living a happy life with a chronic illness is possible. So if you feel like someone needs to see this…please share this with them! 💗 #endometriosis #inflammation #antiinflammatory #womenshealth #antiinflammatorydiet
