The very first copy of my new book!!! 😭😭 It's so pretty, I can't believe I finally got to hold it – it felt like an out-of-body experience. I've been working on it for over two years and I'm so proud of how it's turned out – and I can't wait for it to be out in the world and in all of your kitchens!!! It's also HUGE 😂😂 It weighs a whopping 1.9kg or just over 4lb!! The original manuscript was about 165,000 words (for reference, that means it was longer than the 2nd and 3rd Lord of the Rings book, and only slightly shorter than the 1st one 😳) but we managed to cut it down to a more manageable length... eventually. And every single page is packed full of useful info, tips, recipes and mouthwatering photos. In fact, this book contains some of THE BEST recipes I've *ever* developed!!! Oh, and the table of contents LOOKS LIKE THE PERIODIC TABLE which makes me irrationally happy. 🤓😁 The Elements of Baking comes out this fall and all the preorder links are in my bio – and it's currently discounted with quite a few retailers! It’s honestly impossible for me to pick a single favourite – because the whole book is filled with my favourites! 🤤🤌 The second photo really shows what The Elements of Baking is all about: using the modification rules, you can go from a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe to a gluten-free, a dairy-free, an egg-free, a vegan or even a GF vegan one – and the cookies will always taste SPECTACULAR, no matter which ingredients you eliminate. And the rules don’t cover just cookies, they also cover cakes, cupcakes, muffins, brownies, pancakes, pastry and more. Officially my new favourite Christmas cookies, these are INCREDIBLE 🤤 Perfectly melt-in-the-mouth tender, intensely chocolatey, super easy to make, there's no chilling required and they keep their shape beautifully in the oven!! The fluffiest, gooiest gluten-free cinnamon rolls 🤤🫶 I've made quite a few different GF cinnamon roll recipes over the years, and these are *by far* the best ones, the texture is INSANE and they taste sooo good!! They stay soft for ages and reheat really well... if you don't polish them all off on the same day, of course 😂 And there's also an overnight option!! Soft, chewy pecan cookies stuffed with a sweet, gooey pecan pie filling – the last recipe in my (accidental) series of pie-inspired cookies, and it's INCREDIBLE 🤤 Instead of using a typical caramel sauce, I made a custard-y caramel for the filling that perfectly mimics a traditional pecan pie... and I could genuinely eat it by the spoonful. Crisp, buttery cinnamon-ginger shortbread and a creamy, swirly pumpkin and vanilla cheesecake filling – these are INCREDIBLE, you basically get all the flavours of pumpkin pie and cheesecake in one delicious dessert 🤤 And the shortbread tastes like gingersnap cookies!!!
