WE DID IT!!! AND A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! First, I just want to say thank you to every single one of you from the 1st to the 1 Millionth follower, for taking your valuable time to watch, like, comment, message, and support this channel. I cannot express how eternally thankful I am for all of your support. This channel started with me cooking and rating George Washington’s favorite dish on June 9th, 2024 (We almost timed this perfectly for the 1 Year Anniversary), and I can simply not fathom how much this channel has grown within a year. My bio states 2 true facts: I am not a historian, nor am I a chef. I am a novice (in my opinion, mediocre) cook who just got into the hobby a couple of years ago after college, but I have an intense love for historical storytelling. And in my opinion, there is no better way of telling the story of those forgotten by time than recreating and eating their meals. It gives us a glimpse into how they lived, who they were, and how similar they are to us. This absolute love of historical storytelling through food is the perfect bridge to my big announcement. My #1 most requested question in my DMs and comments is when I am writing a hardcover cookbook. Well….. IT’S OFFICIAL! I’m excited to announce I will be working with @tenspeedpress and I’m currently in the process of writing a hardcover cookbook about Ancient Rome, telling the story of the Rise & Fall from the Republic to Empire, told through 60 historically authentic dishes from the era! More details to come, but I think you all are going to love this project. To those of you who have been with me since the very beginning, thank you for believing in this. And to those who just joined the community, welcome. So raise a glass of wine, tear into a piece of Roman Cheesecake, and get ready. This is just the beginning for Eats History. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me get here, and there is plenty more to come. (Yes, I was dumb and lit the cake for the video before taking a picture lol)
