Everything we do, we do for the love of farming. We care about it and its future. We’re here for farmers, growers, and the entire agricultural community. We do everything in our power to build a sustainable future for agriculture by connecting innovation, customers and society. Today’s farmers are facing a variety of challenges like never before. A rapidly growing global population. Climate change. The need to produce more quality food, feed, fuel and fiber. The demand from politics and society is to do it ever more sustainably on less arable land. No one farmer or company can hope to solve all of this. But we believe that with our skills and resources, and our long-standing connection to farming, we can make – and are making – a major contribution. This is our vision of #BASFinAg. We invite you to join us on this journey and to share your thoughts and feedback. Together, we can make a difference #ForTheLoveOfFarming. #BiggestJobOnEarth
“Limburgerhof will remain our headquarters – the cradle of our crop protection business.” In a recent interview with @die_rheinpfalz , Livio Tedeschi, Member of the Board of Executive Directors, BASF SE and Head of the Agricultural Solutions Management Board, and Jan Meiforth, Managing Director of BASF Agricultural Solutions Deutschland GmbH, shared insights into our journey toward becoming an independent agricultural company and the key role the Agricultural Center Limburgerhof plays in that context. While preparing for our planned IPO, one thing remains unchanged: our deep roots in the region. Limburgerhof will – even after 112 years – continue to serve as our global agricultural headquarters and remains at the heart of our innovation activities. At the same time, we continue to invest in the future — from new research capabilities such as our Climate Center to the next generation of talent with 30 apprentices starting their careers with us in Limburgerhof in September. This is a clear commitment to the site, the region and the future of agriculture. Read the full interview on the RheinPfalz website.
June marks Pride Month - a time to celebrate inclusion, authenticity, allyship and belonging. It is also a moment to reflect on what equal access and opportunity truly mean for everyone, including the women farmers who play a vital role in feeding the world. Equal access remains one of the defining challenges for women in agriculture. Across the world, inequalities in access to land, finance, resources and innovation continue to limit women's participation in agriculture, with less than 20% of the world’s landholders being women. Persistent stereotypes and limited visibility in data often obscure the vital contributions women make to farming, food production and rural communities. At the same time, household responsibilities and childcare place additional demands on women, limiting their time, mobility and access to resources while reinforcing existing inequalities. Yet the potential is clear: when women farmers have equal access to productive resources, farm yields could increase by 20-30%, agricultural output could rise by 2.5-4%, and up to 150 million people could be lifted out of hunger. Equal access is not just a matter of fairness – it is essential to helping agriculture thrive, strengthening food systems, supporting resilient communities, and building a more sustainable future for everyone. #BASFinAg #ShowUpWithPride #ForTheLoveOfFarming #BASFSupportsIYWF2026 #YearOfTheWomanFarmer #IYWF2026
At BASF Agricultural Solutions, we know that great ideas grow when people feel encouraged to share different perspectives. Creating space for diverse voices not only strengthens our culture — it helps us learn from one another, collaborate more effectively, and develop better solutions together. Following this year’s Pride Month motto, “Show Up With Pride”, we continue to reflect on how inclusion comes to life through the way we work together. From listening to different viewpoints and fostering open dialogue to supporting one another, specially through challenges. When people feel heard, they are more confident to share ideas, bring their unique experiences to the table, and help drive innovation. This strengthens our performance and helps us to unlock the full potential of our diverse teams. We are proud to see these values reflected in the perspectives and experiences shared by our colleagues, and in many ways they contribute to a culture of openness, respect, and collaboration as we work together for the future of agriculture. What does “Show Up” look like in your collaborations and teamwork? 🌈 #BASFinAg #ShowUpWithPride #ForTheLoveOfFarming
Some connections to nature don’t fade – they grow deeper over time. For Anna, early mornings in the forest - watching wildlife and the changing seasons - are more than moments of calm. They are a constant reminder of why she does what she does. Growing up on a farm, surrounded by generations of agricultural knowledge, her path seemed almost natural. Today, she passes that connection on – sharing her passion with her children as they explore nature together, collecting flowers, and discovering the world around them. “I want my children – and one day my grandchildren – to experience nature the way I did. That’s what drives me every day.” Today, as a Sustainability Manager at BASF Agricultural Solutions, Anna brings that heritage into a global context – working closely with farmers, scientists, and partners to turn biodiversity into something tangible, measurable and actionable. Through initiatives like the BASF Farm Network, Anna contributes to developing practical solutions that help farmers balance productivity with the protection of natural resources - showing that high yields and biodiversity can go hand in hand. From counting bees, tracking bird populations to generating long-term data, her work contributes to a deeper understanding of how sustainable agriculture can succeed in practice. Her story doesn’t end in the field, but goes beyond data and projects. For Anna, sustainability isn’t a concept. It’s a commitment – rooted in the past, lived in the present, and built for the future. Because protecting nature today means giving it a tomorrow. #PeopleInAg #CustomerExperience #CustomerCentricity #Agriculture #ForTheLoveOfFarming #SustainableAgriculture #Biodiversity
A new chapter in fungicide innovation 🌱 In June 2025, we began the registration process for our latest fungicide, Adapzo® Active. We have now reached another important milestone, as the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) has officially designated Adapzo Active a new and distinct mode of action. As the first histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor in the industry, Adapzo Active offers a breakthrough in crop protection. For farmers in South America, it provides a powerful new solution against Asian Soybean Rust—the leading disease threat to soybeans—helping safeguard crops, stabilize yields, and support stronger production. Adapzo Active is one example of our strong innovation pipeline, which supports our leading position in crop protection. The pipeline includes major upcoming launches of fungicides and insecticides, as well as an industry-leading herbicide pipeline linked to traits. Pride Month offers a moment to reflect on something that matters every day at BASF Agricultural Solutions: building a workplace where everyone feels welcome and able to contribute as they are. Guided by this year’s BASF-wide motto, “Show Up With Pride”, we keep focusing on inclusion in practical, tangible ways, shaping how we collaborate and how we support one another. Inclusion does not rely on big gestures. It grows through everyday actions: asking for different perspectives before making decisions, taking the time to understand a colleague’s experience, or simply checking in when someone might feel left out. These small moments build trust and a genuine sense of belonging, so that everyone feels confident to share ideas and take on new challenges. At BASF Agricultural Solutions, we are living these values, and we remain committed to strengthening this culture as we work together for the future of agriculture. How do you “Show Up With Pride” in your daily work? 🌈 hashtag#BASFinAg hashtag#ShowUpWithPride hashtag#ForTheLoveOfFarming
What does climate-smart agriculture look like in practice? Join us in Frankenthal, Germany, where our recent Field Day brought together experts and real-world insights from the field. From cover crops that improve soil structure and reduce erosion to data-driven approaches that support healthy wheat growth, every trial helps us better understand what works under real farming conditions. Through our Global Carbon Field Trial Program, we’re continuing to test and prove what works in real farm conditions. By collaborating, learning, adapting, and innovating together, we’re helping shape a more sustainable future for agriculture—starting in the field. 🌱 #BASFinAg #SustainableAgriculture #BASFCarbonFieldTrials #ForTheLoveOfFarming
🌍 How can a country feed the world—and still feed itself? In the latest episode of “The Science Behind Your Salad” podcast, host Jane Craigie travels to central Kenya to explore its dual food systems. Before sunrise, green beans are packed with precision for European supermarkets, while at the same time women sell leafy greens by the roadside to nourish local families. Together with our guests, coffee farmer and regenerative agriculture pioneer Gloria Gummerus, and Gift Mbaya, Managing Director & Head of Agricultural Solutions in East Africa at BASF, we explore how export-oriented agribusiness, women-led cooperatives and informal markets all shape Kenya’s food security and rural livelihoods. 🎧 Listen to “From Roadside to Runway: How Kenya Feeds Itself… and the World” on our website. #TheScienceBehindYourSalad #Podcast #SustainableAgriculture #BASFinAg #WomenInAgriculture
The @worldseedfed World Seed Congress in Lisbon marked an important milestone for our industry – and for us. A key highlight: the launch of the ISF Social Compliance Guideline – a sector-wide effort to strengthen human rights and ethical practices across the seed value chain. 🌍🤝 Over the past 12 months, our sustainability colleagues have contributed their expertise and strong commitment to help bring this initiative to life. Why do we at BASF believe this guideline matters? 📌 It translates global human rights standards into practical guidance for day-to-day operations 🧩 It creates a common language for social responsibility across diverse markets and seed value chains – something we see as essential for effective collaboration What does the guideline offer – and where do we see value for BASF and our partners? 👀 Clear explanations of what social rights and ethical practices look like – from field to seed company 🧭 Guidance on how to identify social risks and improvement opportunities in operations, partnerships and supply chains 📋 Concrete ideas on how to embed responsible practices into policies, partnerships, and daily decision-making 🤝 A strong foundation for collaboration and continuous improvement – an area where we are committed to working closely with partners across the value chain Grounded in internationally recognized frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and OECD Due Diligence Guidance, the guideline supports companies of all sizes in strengthening responsible practices. The foundation is now set – real impact will come as we bring this to life in day-to-day practice across the sector. Yvonne Weimer has danced for almost her entire life. On stage, rhythm, coordination and trust determine whether everything comes together. Those same principles shape how she thinks about customer experience: only when teams work in sync does the full picture emerge. That mindset guides Yvonne’s work at BASF Agricultural Solutions. Her journey has taken her from biochemical process engineering to procurement and marketing— and today to her role as Head of Customer Experience for the EMEA region. Across countries, cultures and functions, she brings teams together with one clear goal: making it easier for customers to do business with us. “Only if all the pieces work together in our department, even the behind-the-scenes departments, they work seamlessly together then the customer experience works and customers become loyal to us. And it's the same in choreography.” For Yvonne, agriculture is especially meaningful because its impact is visible in everyday life. When she walks through the supermarket, she sees more than shelves and products. She sees the outcome of countless decisions, processes and customer journeys—and how they ultimately connect to the food people bring home. For her, that connection becomes even more tangible when she thinks about the future her own children will grow up in. What drives her most is impact. Every improved touchpoint, every smoother interaction is a step toward a more customer‑centric company in agriculture – and toward building long-term trust and loyalty. Because just like in dance, lasting success doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built one step at a time. #BASFinAg #PeopleInAg #CustomerExperience #CustomerCentricity #Agriculture #ForTheLoveOfFarming #BiggestJobOnEarth #BASFinAg #PeopleInAg
