It took me years to learn this... it’ll only take you 3 minutes. 🚁 Save this for later 📌 Most people think great FPV footage comes just from flying skills. It doesn’t. The biggest difference happens after the flight. Here’s what changed everything for me: 🎥 Stabilization Gyroflow is essential. I usually shoot in wide so i keep the gyrodata and stabilize in post, also i keep the Motion Filter around 45 to 50 to remove micro jitters while keeping the movement natural. 🕶️ Use ND filters Natural motion blur always looks more cinematic than sharp, jittery footage. ⚡ Control your shutter speed Aim for roughly double your frame rate. For 30fps, that’s around 1/60. 🎨 Learn color grading I edit everything in DaVinci Resolve. Good grading can completely transform average footage. Dont just slap a LUT and done, theres much that can be done to improve a shot. 🔊 Sound design matters Remove the drone buzz. Add subtle ambience and effects that make viewers feel like they’re there. 🎵 Music is half the edit A great song creates emotion before people even notice the visuals. 🌊 Flow beats tricks A smooth, intentional flight is almost always more satisfying than constant flips and rolls. 📐 Tiny camera angle changes make a huge difference Even a few degrees of camera tilt can completely change the feeling of a shot. ☀️ Chase good light, not good locations A simple place at sunrise or sunset will often look better than an incredible location at midday. 🧠 Plan your line before takeoff Knowing exactly where you’re flying produces cleaner, more confident shots. 💥 Crash less... but crash often enough to learn. My export workflow (don’t skip this): ✔ Export in 4K from DaVinci Resolve ✔ 30 Mbps bitrate (constant) ✔ Upload using the Edits app ✔ Enable 4K before publishing ✔ Publish directly from Edits to Instagram That final step alone noticeably improved my upload quality.
