This year we brought MOTHERSHIP to the playa. MOTHERSHIP is the interstellar vessel that brought the aliens of @titanicsend down to Earth. Upon arrival, the friendly aliens realized the planet was warming rapidly and created a giant synthwave iceberg to cool it down. Now, they spread their message of love by melting raver faces one at a time. It’s been a joy to create an art collective talented enough to bring a project like MOTHERSHIP to life. Hats off to @andrew_kirk for leading the project, the incredibly talented @briansmithdesign and Brooke for the concept and engineering, Eli McNutt and @keeganarthurolton for the next level lighting hardware design, the whole TE lighting team for the incredible patterns, all the volunteers who helped assemble power boxer and lighting, and the strike team that flew to Tennessee to build in the 90 degree humid summer in Brian’s backyard. We were inspired to build MOTHERSHIP after two years of having the whole TE front of house team huddled around a folding table for 12 hours during the night. We call this folding table v2.
