USA Champions! 🇺🇸🏆🤾‍♂️ 5 months ago I took over @lateamhandball as president and team owner alongside @marthahigareda and it’s been a wild ride! Our twin girls were born one month later, and with all the tournaments, health challenges, and business work in between, Martha has been the ultimate champion supporting myself and the team. This past weekend we won the title of USA National Champions and it was the first time in 16 years the @lateamhandball won. The drought is over, but the journey has just begun. We also hosted the final weekend in LA and all the refs, delegates and players from other teams said it was the best run handball tournament in USA in over a decade. Thanks to the @greatness team for their event production skills, and commitment to excellence! This is one step closer to my dreams at the Olympics and also our investment in building the sport of handball in USA. There are many things that must change within USA handball for it to succeed, and we are committed to supporting that mission. What a weekend and I couldn’t imagine winning with a better group of people! This gave us the faith that everything would be okay 🙏 Throughout the pregnancy, we experienced stresses and scares that could rock anyone. But a few months in, @marthahigareda and I visited Lourdes, France and we had an experience that would stick with us for the rest of the 9 months and even after. This experience gave us peace.
