“This all started out by me going out alone.” When 0 people turned up for Angel’s inaugural hike and sew club outing, he posted about the experience on @instagram to show people first-hand what he loved about doing it...and it took off. Pretty soon, more and more artists and creatives joined the club, creating quilts, patches, jackets and anything else that can be altered with a needle and thread, all in the surprising setting of nature. Angel has plans to host his first out-of-state hike and sew later this year. His account, @hikeandsew, is an invitation to anyone who wants to spend time making art in nature to meet up and join the community.
