The new Macan GTS benefits from the sporty proportions enjoyed by the rest of the model series. Even when stationary, it has the dynamic look that is typical of a Porsche. The gently sloping bonnet and the pronounced wings give the SUV a powerful and sporty appearance. The front lighting is separated into two parts: the flat upper light units with four-point daytime running lights are embedded in the front wings and emphasise the width of the car. The headlight module with Matrix LED technology is positioned slightly lower. The famous Porsche flyline forms a single unit with the sloping rear window. Together with the frameless doors, this results in a sporty silhouette. The pronounced shoulders give the rear of the car a muscular look. Beneath the active rear spoiler, a continuous light strip spans the full width of the rear. Porsche lettering runs down the middle of this 3D light strip and is finished in matt black on the GTS model. From winning together back to racing each other: After they triumphed at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps last weekend as teammates in the Lionspeed GP Porsche 911 GT3 R, from today on Thomas Preining, Ricardo Feller and Bastian Buus are opponents again during the DTM weekend at the Norisring. 2023 DTM champion Preining (no. 91) already has three Norisring wins under his belt. Feller (no. 90) in the Manthey team’s second nine-eleven is looking for his first win on the 2.162-km Nuremberg street circuit. And for Land-Motorsport driver Buus (no. 29) it is his “Franconian Monaco” race weekend premiere. Derrick Lim has been closely linked to Porsche since 2008 and, soon after joining @porscheclubmalaysia, was elected its president. Milestones under his leadership include leading convoys of up to 320 Porsche cars through the heart of Kuala Lumpur, parades at the Sepang International Circuit, long-distance road trips covering more than 2,000 kilometres, the founding of several clubs across the region, and drives organised for orphaned children – all centred around bringing people together through a shared passion for Porsche. Despite his unwavering passion for Porsche, Lim stepped down as president last year. But as a lifetime member, he remains part of the brand’s GT Circle and still takes part in club events with his family. The seventh round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will take place on 12 July at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park near Toronto. Only the LMP2, GTD Pro and GTD classes will compete there with the "Rexy" AO Racing car and the 911 GT3 R from Wright Motorsports on the entry list.
