Just slice watermelon into triangles, stick a popsicle stick in (to give them a “handle” to hold), spread on your yogurt of choice (we did plain greek yogurt), then let your littles “decorate” with fruit, coconut flakes, sprinkles, granola, mini chocolate chips, hemp hearts whatever you’ve got!! Need a new way to serve eggs?! SAVE & try this 👀 Comment RECIPE for full deets + printable version to make this later!! Eggs can be so unpredictable for littles - the texture, the firmness, the flavor, it’s slightly different every time🥲 which is why so many toddler push them away! So maybeee this custard toast will be the egg breaky they actually love?!! Here’s how to make it: Press a shallow well into a slice of bread. Whisk together 1 egg + 2 tbsp yogurt + a small drizzle of maple syrup or mashed fruit. Pour into the center of the bread & top with berries, then bake at 400F for about 10 min or air fry at 350F for 6-8 min or until set. Cool and slice! We paired with a little maple syrup to dip 🙂↔️ Remember, our kiddos are still learning SO MUCH about food! Just some friendly toddler mom reminders for ya 🙂↔️🫶🏼 bc weekends can feel a bit chaotic with littles, and sometimes we just need to give ourselves + them some grace! Follow + comment ‘RECIPE’ to make your toddler’s new favorite summer treat!!🫐🍓 This is giving all the ice cream vibes but without all the sugar & actually has protein + fiber to make it a bit more filling and nourishing Perf for an easy bbq treat or summer party snack! Just mix together: – 2 c plain Greek yogurt & 1 c whipped topping (or your fave dairy-free versions if needed OR use all plain yogurt for no added sugar) – vanilla extract – berries/fruit of choice (I did strawberries, blueberries & bananas) 👉🏼 freeze until slightly firm, scoop out & serve in cones! Even makes a great shareable snack for play dates or parties All you’ll need is: a can of chickpeas sunflower seed butter (or cashew/almond butter) dates or maple syrup for sweetness vanilla pinch of salt then whatever mix-ins you want!! mini chocolate chips, raisins, sprinkles! have fun w it 🙂↔️ SHARE with another mama looking for a fun, fiber-packed snack!! Bc snacks are more fun right?! grab ideas here 👇🏼 Okay but can we talk about how toddlers will reject something at a meal, then happily eat that SAME exact food at snack time?! Maybe in the stroller, on their toddler tower, at the park If you think about it, snack time feels lower pressure + way more fun to them! So if your little one is deep in their beige food era, try offering some of those colorful foods as snacks instead 🙂↔️ Some of my easy faves to serve are: - edamame & beans in a snack bowl - cut fruit + avocado cubes w mini tongs - snack board w cheese + freeze dried strawberries + snap peas & ranch dip - toast decorating board w hummus, monster guac, & pb - playing the taste game handing one to each other to “try” - making mini kabobs w toothpicks + fruit & cheese or avocado - having my toddlers be chefs in their play kitchen mixing “veggie stir fry” - helping me cut veggies for dinner prep & offering as pre-dinner snack Not every “snack” has to come from the snack aisle or package (but if some do then duh that’s okay too, balance bby) 🤎 Comment ‘SNACKS’ if you want my toddler snack guide & no bake snack list with 20+ ideas!!! follow & comment ‘PREP’ for the recipes 🙌🏼 If you’re new here hiii🤗 this is my weekly habit bc as a working mom of two toddlers & wife to a firefighter, prepping helps me on my solo days + the hubs on his dad duty days Here’s what I prepped this week👇🏼 – roasted carrot crinkle fries & sweet potato cubes – 🍌 banana bread cookies (think banana bread + cookie + muffin top made a baby) – 3 ingredient chia jam (literally so easy & quick, could even just microwave frozen berries or mash fresh to mix in w chia) – 🫐🍓 berry yogurt popsicles (just mix plain yogurt + chia + vanilla + berries) – snack baggies w @fitjoy pb pretzels, raisins, @34degrees_ cheese crisps, pea crisps – mini pizzas for lunches (made these Friday & froze leftovers!) Prepping looks different for everyone!! Follow + comment ‘BANANA’ for these mini 🍌 “cakes” Idk if your parents/in-laws are like mine, but I swear they either grocery shop daily for only what they need or live on the most minimalist meals 😂 BUT the two foods I can always count on them having are bananas & eggs (v thankful for chickens) So these banana “cake” muffins / nana loaf / donuts / squares (however you wanna bake them) are one of my go-to easy recipes that we all love!!🙂↔️🤎 one version is egg + dairy free & the other is made with an almond flour base! Another one of my easy faves are banana waffles or pancakes w just 1 banana + 2 eggs + 1/3 c flour (which you might even be able to put in a mini muffin tin?!)
