Many traditional solutions struggle to perform consistently under real field conditions. In 2019, our R&D teams at UPL Corp Brasil set out to solve this challenge. UPL Corp France celebrates a key milestone—completing Year 2 of its Gigaton Carbon Goal pilot with measurable progress, even under challenging climatic conditions. Across the initial parcels, nearly 250 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions have been avoided. In partnership with the Maïs Avenir association, four farmers have been advancing low-carbon maize cultivation since 2023, with a strong focus on optimising nitrogen use to reduce emissions while sustaining productivity. Despite drought conditions, innovations such as the UPL Corp NPP biostimulant Gaxy® are improving Nitrogen Use Efficiency—helping protect yields and farmer income. Gaxy® is a 100% cold-processed, super-concentrated extract of Ascophyllum nodosum filtrate. Complementary practices, including spring pea integration, are further supporting soil health and carbon sequestration. Building on this momentum, UPL Corp France now widely offers its nitrogen optimization solution to support customers’ sustainability programs.
