In the cab of the King of material handlers, Sennebogen’s 895E Hybrid. We visited an IDC operated port North of Izmir, Turkey to see the massive machine in action. Supplied by Forsen Machinery, the 895 has a reach of up to 40 metres with the operator sitting 22 metres above ground level. The 895 can handle weights of up to 50 tonnes close in to itself. CSW recently fitted their Kubota KXO60 with a new set of Astrak 550 wide tracks CSW owner Craig Williams opted to have the Astrak 550 steel tracks fitted to the Kubota for several reasons, one being that they are the widest and most hard wearing available. As the Kubota is mostly operating on rough hardcore and mud the Astrak steel 550s were perfectly suited to the conditions Craig commented “When we were looking at putting steel tracks on the KX060 we sent off an email to Astrak with a list of questions which received a reply within a day. JCB’s stand at Plantworx 2025

For those who work small scale this Merlo prototype electric tracked dumper could be a very useful tool in your arsenal. It’s 700mm wide so can fit through a standard doorway or gate. Powered by battery electric, it can work indoors without ventilation. The dumper can load itself with light material such as gravel, sand or topsoil if a mini excavator is not available to load. It also can be easily fitted with a high tip mechanism to reach into high sided skips. At the end you can see it going through a simulated 900mm wide passage, although the machine itself is just 700mm wide

From the short radius 145XR used for the ten pin bowling challenge to the Hydradig on the basketball challenge down to the two 26C-1 mini excavators used to play a giant game of Connect 4, JCB equipment provided the precision skilled operators needed to score!
