1) Ferrari have brought a sizeable update to Barcelona. A new front wing assembly, including the nose and endplates, features improved front wheel wake control, as well as a more integrated SM activation linkage. A wholly redesigned floor should improve overall load, and new sidepods have been designed to work with that floor, better channelling wheel wake and optimising front floor pressurisation. 2) Red Bull Racing have managed to modify existing parts of the front wing to create a new geometry for the elements near the endplate, which they say should result in increased load. A flap with increased camber is also available should there be a need for even more load to suit the circuit. 3) McLaren have continued to work on the front wing of the MCL40, and for Barcelona the endplate has been modified, resulting in improved aerodynamic flow conditioning. 4) Mercedes are adding small winglets to the centreline of the rear wing. These increase the camber of the upper wing, resulting in an increase in downforce that the team believe will help at this track. 5) Williams have brought a different rear wing SM fairing with added winglets to Barcelona. This offers local load to suit high-downforce circuits. 6) Racing Bulls debut a new diffuser and rear crash structure this weekend, which the team say will “provide improved aerodynamic flow conditioning at the back of the car, to aid with efficient load generation from the floor”. The VCARB 03 also gets a circuit-specific front wing with extra gurney flaps on the trailing edge for additional load. 7) Haas have an alternative rear impact structure available for the VF-26 this weekend, with the aim of targeting the tuning of the car’s characteristics for the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. 8) Cadillac are reintroducing a fairing on the SM mechanism to the updated rear wing introduced in Monaco. This is to reinstate the availability of low-drag mode to the wing.
