Past vs Future — Which Birdcage would you pick? In the early 1960s, the #Maserati Tipo 60 and 61 — otherwise known as the ‘Birdcage’ — altered the peak of automotive innovation with its incredibly light, tubular space-frame chassis. Then over 40 years later at #FOS 2005, the Birdcage moniker made a stunning resurgence in the form of a ground-breaking concept car: The Birdcage 75th. Both designs represent the enduring legacy of Maserati and we can’t wait to celebrate the history of the Italian marque at the 2026 #GoodwoodRevival. Will we see you there?

The great Hans Herrmann — born OTD in 1928 — was a beloved figure in the world of motorsport and one we were proud to host at #FOS on multiple occasions. The German earned success behind the wheel of many legendary machines but his final competitive drive was arguably his greatest, as together with Richard Attwood he flew to victory at the 1970 #LeMans 24 Hours in this very #Porsche 917K.

Perhaps one of the most famous rivalries in #F1 history was between James Hunt at #McLaren and Niki Lauda - born OTD in 1949 - at #Ferrari. The 1976 season was where it all came to a boil and Hunt was crowned the World Champion, just one point ahead of Lauda who missed two grands prix after his near-fatal crash in Germany. Niki Lauda — born OTD in 1949 — will forever be remembered as one of #F1’s greatest World Champions. In one of the series’ most dangerous eras, the Austrian proved to be the physical embodiment of heroism, perseverance and resolve, and made legends of the cars he drove — the #Ferrari 312T2 being one of them.

Ever wondered what the mighty #Porsche 934/5 — arguably one of the coolest competition cars of the ‘70s — would look like if it was made road-legal and for the modern era?! In 2024, Singer Vehicle Design — which will be celebrated in spectacular fashion at #FOS 2026 as the focus of our Central Feature — introduced the world to the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer - DLS Turbo, which featured an iconic carbon fibre widebody, a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six and a fully manual gearbox. #FOS

For its tenth consecutive appearance at #FOS, #Singer revealed the #Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer both on the Hill and on static display.
