Beyond grateful to share that I was invited to speak at the @whitehouse’s inaugural Creator Economy Conference! I’ve been in DC a lot more often over the past year, and it’s inspiring to see the government take a stance on the issues that matter most to creators—such as mental health, AI, and pay transparency. The day kicked off with a series of panels and fireside chats, one of which was hosted by yours truly. I had the honor to speak with Dr. Arati Prabhakar, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy! Our conversation centered around AI in the creator space. We talked about regulation to protect artists, ethical guidelines for AI use, and balancing innovation with labor protection. And right after our talk, President Biden spoke to us about the rapidly growing creator industry and the responsibility we bear in shaping the next generation of media.
