That’s not something you see everyday 🎈🚲 🪂 @elias_schwaerzler drops another Worlds first as he rides his mountain bike on top of a flying hot air balloon before jumping off and skydiving back to Earth. The project took him more than two years to make possible. Don’t worry the bike had its own parachute and made it back down safely also 😅

Doubling down on that initial offering, Specialized is now releasing the Levo R Ultralight, a fully boutique build aiming to cut grams wherever possible. With a claimed build weight of 18.8kg / 41.4 lb, the Ultralight does cut a fair bit off the S-Works build, which lands at 21.16 kg / 46.65 lb. Today's edition of Roasted features three bikes of the short-travel variety. Some are strict XC bikes, one might fall more into the short travel trail category, but all are speed-oriented and relatively lightweight. We each have our setup quirks and unusual component favorites, but in the end each of these bikes represents what we might take out for a long and fast day of riding. Best sport in the world 🥺 After a catastrophic mechanical on stage 4 I thought my race was over… But then my fellow "competitors" offered me their help to carry my bike and support me in any way they could so I could be on time at the last check-in of day one. Kept pushing for a 13km bike and run and we made it 3 minutes in advance. After a time penalty for changing my rear wheel I was able to keep racing on day 2 and I enjoyed every corner and rock garden of the ride and even came home with 5/8 top 25 stages results 🤟 Thanks everyone for the passion and support, I’ll remember this one. Thanks bikes 🫶
