Great Britain GP (10th Race): 1st place (Silvestone Circuit) – “Obviously, the Safety Car spiced it up. It was a nice time because Valtteri was pushing like crazy. I had the advantage on tyres, but it was not so easy to find a way through. Then I surprised him. I wasn’t sure I’d make the corner, but I did, so it worked really well, and I’m very, very happy.” . 📷 © Callo Albanese . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Austria GP (9th Race): 3rd place (Red Bull Ring) – “Obviously it would have been nice to start further up. [...] We lost a little bit of time at the stop. So for us it was pretty much damage limitation, but I think the pace was very good, the tyre management was good. It was a positive day. It could have been better, but a well-deserved win for Max.” . 📷 © Hasan Bratic / Getty Images / Red Bull Content Pool . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
France GP (8th Race): 5th place (Circuit Paul Ricard) – “My mistake. I tried to brake early and get out of it, but I had no grip being so close to the cars in front and alongside me. Valtteri tried to get his position back, which was fair enough, and I had nowhere to go. The turn goes left and I tried to slow down, but with the grip I had, I could only open the radius. Unfortunately, I made contact with Valtteri. Obviously, for Valtteri, it was very bad because it affected his race, and he had nothing to do with it. Given how tight it was, I think we were both lucky in a way to be able to continue.” . 📷 © Hasan Bratic . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Canada GP (7th Race): 1st place (Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve) – “Perfect is probably a good way to describe this race. Unbelievable. I said yesterday how much this place means for Ferrari. To have a race like we had today is unbelievable. After a long time, a long stretch where Ferrari didn’t win here, I saw the people around and they were super happy. I’m sure they had a blast and they will have a blast tonight. I’m just happy, and grazie alla squadra.” 📷 © Hasan Bratic . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Monaco GP (6th Race): 2nd place (Circuit de Monaco) – “In the first stint, I could follow Daniel fairly easily. When Lewis started to pit, Daniel pushed and was a bit stronger, so I couldn’t stay with him. I was going through the tyres fairly quickly, and the next stint was similar. Towards the end, I picked up the pace again, but after the restart I didn’t have much confidence in the tyres and lost quite a lot of time. Otherwise, it would have been nice to keep the pressure on until the end.” . 📷 © Hasan Bratic / Getty Images / Red Bull Content Pool . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Spain GP (5th Race): 4th place (Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya) – “I’ve said many times, this team is strong and we have a lot of potential, but we also need to make sure we address the problems that we have and work together in the same direction. The season so far has been positive for us. Today was not a good day but it’s important to understand why.” . 📷 © Hasan Bratic . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Azerbaijan GP (4th Race): 4th place (Baku City Circuit) – “I’m happy that I tried, I’m not happy it didn’t work. But I had to try.” – Sebastian Vettel on his attempt to take the lead in the closing stages of the race after the Safety Car restart. . 📷 © Hasan Bratic . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
China GP (3rd Race): 8th place (Shanghai International Racing Circuit) – “I didn’t see him until very late, so I left a bit of room as well. He obviously made a mistake, he locked up, which happens. We had a tailwind down the straight the whole race. I guess he misjudged it and sort of compromised both of our results.” – Sebastian Vettel on the moment Max Verstappen locked up after the Safety Car restart, resulting in contact between the two cars. 📷 © Hasan Bratic . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Bahrain GP (2nd Race): 1st place (Bahrain International Circuit) – “We won and it’s a great feeling tonight. But also a bit sad, because I think one of our mechanics got injured during Kimi’s pit stop, so I send him my best regards. I’m sure the guys are looking after him. Overall, it was a mixed day, knowing that one car retired, but fortunately we managed to stay ahead.” 📷 © Callo Albanese . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Australia GP (1st Race): 1st place (Albert Park Circuit) – “We’re not where we want to be yet. I’m not yet exactly there with the car, but I think today gives us a good start, a good wind and fresh motivation for the coming weeks.” . 📷 © Callo Albanese . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Pre-season – “I think we all look forward to kicking off the season, to getting ready, getting in the car and racing. I think we have all the reasons to be confident. Our car is great. Based on testing, I think we are in good shape. We could be in better shape, but it’s always like that.” 📷 © Callo Albanese . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
Abu Dhabi GP (20th Race): 3rd place (Yas Marina Circuit) –”Congrats to Valtteri, very happy for him, and again, many congratulations to Lewis on his season. He deserves to win the championship this year. He was the better man, so I’m sure we will do our bit over the winter and hopefully come back stronger.“ . 📷 © Hasan Bratic . . . . . #sebastianvettel #thereisstillaracetowin
