2023 World Champion 🏆 The range of emotions I experienced yesterday was something I never could have prepared for. After feeling like I was on the cusp of this moment multiple times I had started to doubt if it would ever happen. Thank you to everyone for the incredibly kind messages over the last 24 hours There are so many people I need to thank for helping to make this moment possible. I can’t do it all in one post but here’s where I think I need to start. My Mom and Dad for always supporting my dream. @mikestewart for helping to guide me on this journey and for providing me the best equipment for this job. My girlfriend @harper.donovan for the unconditional love and always being in my corner, win or lose. @craigwhetter for being right beside me during this and reminding me to breath for the 30 minutes before this moment. And to @pierrelouiscostes Thank you for everything. Fighting for my first world title against someone I idolized so much as a kid means more than anything. I remember watching the webcast late at night cheering for you when you won the World Title in 2011. Your influence on the sport helped shape the rider I’ve become. I will always cherish every heat we have had together. And to everyone else who has supported and cheered for me over the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️‍🔥

Not only my favorite boogie shot, but also one of my favorite wedge photos. When you shoot wedge from way down the beach, you can see the waves shape taking form way earlier. As I saw @tanner_mcdaniel28 paddling for this wave, I could see that it was going to triangle up like crazy. It ended up being a huge closeout (which he pulled in to) but the frames before that happened truly captured the definition of “the wedge” @nikonusa
