Small Business Journey Ep.1 Why I started my travel company 💛 6 years ago, I quit my stable job at a content company to find myself, and I started a YouTube channel. I didn’t know what I liked, so I began with something small that interested me: BTS. Documenting my journey as a fan and receiving feedback from over a million subscribers, I discovered I could be good at creating informative and entertaining content. Knowing that what I do can actually help others learn more about Korea, I decided to take a step further. I published a Seoul guidebook, obtained an official guide license, and this year I registered a travel company! I’m going to create fun & unique tours where you can experience local life! If you’re someone seeking new inspiration, you’ve come to the right place😆 #korea #seoul #koreatravelguide #koreatravel #seoultrip #travel #koreantourguide #koreantour #privatetourkorea #privatetourguide #privateguidekorea #smallbusiness #travelgram #travel #koreatourguide

This only happens once a year! Winter is when some of the most important work in Korean food begins. In late November and early December, families make kimchi for the months ahead, and freshly harvested soybeans are turned into meju, the beginning of doenjang and soy sauce. These are not activities that happen throughout the year. They belong to a very specific season. That is why our December Slow Food Tour is different. We will visit artisan families while they are making meju for the next year’s jang, and you will be able to make it with them. We will also cook winter Korean food, including the kind of kimchi Koreans actually eat at home, with one of Korea’s most respected culinary masters. I created this tour for people who want to understand Korean food by meeting the people who still make it in the traditional way:) Korean Slow Food Tour: Winter Special! 👉 Date: December 1–5, 2026 (Only 4 seats left!) 👉 You can find more details through the link in my bio. #korea #koreatrip #koreanfood #fermentation #slowfood

A private Seoul tour with BTS ARMY, @hobisdotori 💜 I was so happy to meet her after the Jeju Puprle Tour last year! We did so many things that day, but one of my favorite memories was exploring Seoul’s old alleys and traditional markets together, then making our way up to a playground at the top of a hill that BTS RM once visited! The mugwort soup, fancy coffee time, flowers and evening chat at a bar were all felt like spring. :) 👉 If you’d like to explore local neighborhoods and enjoy BTS-related experiences at the same time, book a private tour with me! (I have been a BTS ARMY since 2017😆) Just send me a DM or click the link in my profile and select Korea Private Tour! #koreaprivatetour #seoulprivatetour #koreaprivatetourguide #privatetour #korea

Every family seems to have their own way of making doenjang. As I’ve been learning more about Korean fermentation, I’ve realized that there isn’t just one way. Different families have passed down different little tricks through generations:) #korea #koreanfood #fermentation #fermentedfoods #doenjang

One of my private tour guests had a deep interest in traditional Korean dance. So instead of simply watching a performance, I arranged a private 1:1 session with a master of Korean traditional dance who is also a certified Intangible Cultural Heritage apprentice! The master even created a short fan dance just for us. We started from the very basics, learning how to walk before moving on to each dance movement. Traditional Korean dance is often described as ”movement within stillness, and stillness within movement.“ Watching the master, every movement looked so simple. But once I tried it myself, I realized how difficult it was to even walk as elegantly like her. Seeing my guests connect with the part of Korean culture they‘re most interested in is one of my favorite parts of this job. Thanks, Nina, for trusting me to create this experience with you.🫶 👉 If you’re looking for a unique cultural experience in Korea, I’d love to help make it happen. Feel free to send me a DM. #koreaprivatetour #korea #koreanculture #koreatravel #koreantour

A few weeks ago, a mother and daughter who joined my private tour told me they wanted to spend part of their trip volunteering in Korea. So instead of visiting another tourist attraction, we spent the morning helping prepare and serve lunch alongside a local community organization. We cleaned dried anchovies for soup stock, prepared vegetables, carried trays for elderly guests, and helped serve free meals to 250 homeless individuals and low-income seniors. Many of the other Korean volunteers were curious about us and warmly welcomed us into their community. One volunteer cheerfully told us, “I’m the captain of today’s serving team, so just follow me!” and guided us through everything. Later, we learned he was actually a former vice minister in the Korean government, which was a pretty unexpected story from the day. 😆 This experience was meaningful for me, too. I’ve always been interested in creating travel experiences that go beyond sightseeing, experiences that encourage us to connect with people, contribute in small ways, and leave with new perspectives:) In many ways, that’s also the idea behind the tours I create.☺️ #korea #koreaprivatetour #koreatravel #seoulprivatetour #privatetours

2027 Korean Slow Food Tour dates are now open! 🗓️ April 26-30, 2027 🗓️ May 10-14, 2027 After running the first tour this spring, I‘ve made a few changes and added some experiences that weren’t part of the original plan. One of them was a visit to a mountain family known for their traditional jang. It was added as a special stop this year, but the response was so good that it will now become a permanent part of the tour. I‘m also working on adding new experiences for 2027, including experiencing Korean temple cuisine, one of Korea’s oldest food traditions, centered around seasonal vegetables and natural fermentation :) ✨ Early Bird pricing is now available: • Shared Room: $2,500 USD (Regular Price: $2,600 USD) • Single Room: $2,900 USD (Regular Price: $3,000 USD) The tour is limited to just 8 guests. Over five days, we’ll follow the journey of Korean fermentation from soil and onggi jars to the families who make jang and the meals that bring everything together. I can‘t wait to share this experience with you in 2027! 🔗 Reservations are now open through the link in my bio. #koreanfood #koreanfoodlover #fermentation #koreatravel #koreatour

If someone asked me who makes the best Korean food in Korea (besides my mom, of course!😆), I would probably say @koh.eunjeong . She learned the art of Korean seasonal cooking and fermentation from her mother and has devoted much of her life to keeping those traditions alive. Today, she is also known as a teacher of Michelin-starred chefs. I once heard that the Blue House tried several times to recruit her as a chef, but she politely declined. When I heard that story, I thought, “That sounds exactly like her.” I still feel incredibly grateful that she believes in my Slow Food Tour and takes the time to meet my guests and share her knowledge with them. One thing she often says is: “I wish people would make kimchi as casually as they cook instant noodles.” And now she has published a beautiful book (it’s her 16th book!) filled with kimchi recipes from all four seasons in Korea. The book is written in both Korean and English, so I think it would be a wonderful resource for anyone who wants to learn traditional Korean kimchi. At the moment, it’s only available in Korean bookstores such as Kyobo Book Store, so if you’re visiting Korea, it could make a very special souvenir to bring home. The reason I admire her isn’t simply because she’s an amazing cook. Even now, she still drives all over Korea searching for the very best ingredients. Watching her dedication inspires me every time.🔥 I hope I can spend many years doing the same in my own way, sharing Korea’s traditional culture and the stories of the people who keep it alive:) #kimchi #koreanfood #koreancooking #korea #koreatravel

As a Korean, I love healthy Korean food, nature, and traditional culture! This year, my mom and I started a “weekend farm (주말농장)” together. A weekend farm is a type of community garden where people who live in the city can rent a small plot of land in the countryside and grow their own vegetables. Back in early spring, we planted all kinds of things like lettuce, corn, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, and tomatoes. When I visited again recently, the garden had turned into a jungle! Nature is truly amazing…! I spent the day sweating under the sunshine, watering the plants and harvesting fresh lettuce. It felt so refreshing and healing. I’ve been wanting a hobby other than watching K-dramas, and I think this little farm might become my new favorite hobby. 😍 I love traveling, but I also love this kind of slow life too. Touching the soil and eating vegetables I grew myself have always been a dream of mine 😆 Is there anyone here who enjoys this kind of thing too? #korean #slowlife #healthyfood #koreatravel #koreacountryside

”The ocean looks exactly like the one on the postcard!“ That’s what my private tour guest said when she saw the blue sea of Jeju. She dipped her feet into the cool water, and I caught a few bomal (small sea snails) for her😆 She asked me what I usually do with them after catching them. Well, they‘re delicious in porridge or noodle soup... but since I’m not much of a cook, I just said, ”I just put them back in the ocean!“ My favorite season has finally arrived!! I love the summer sea. I love Jeju in summer. Most Koreans try to avoid getting tanned, but because I love being by the ocean, I end up getting quite a lot of sun every summer. My family worries every time they see me getting darker😂 This summer, I’m planning to take a long vacation in Jeju and stay there for a while. I can‘t wait💜 👉 If you're looking for a more personal way to experience Korea, I'd love to create a private tour based on the things you genuinely enjoy. Feel free to send me a DM or check the link in my bio. #jeju #jejuisland #privatetour #jejuislandprivatetour #jejuprivatetourguide
