day 7!! blackberry greek yogurt parfaits 🖤 follow @chef_bai for the full 30 days of recipes for endo, pmos, pmdd & period problems! 👋🏼 For the blackberry jam: 1 package blackberries 1-2 tbsp agave / maple syrup 1 cup filtered water 1 tsp lemon zest 2 tbsp chia seeds For the yogurt: 1 (24oz) tub vegan greek yogurt (I love vanilla!) 1/2 cup mashed dragonfruit For the toppings: 1 package blackberries, sliced 6-8 strawberries, sliced Granola of choice The Method: 1. Add everything for the jam (except the chia seeds) in a sauce pan and place on the stove top on medium heat. Cook for 7-10 minutes, then remove from heat. Lightly mash the berries and add the chia seeds. Set aside and let cool. 2. Next, mix in the dragonfruit to the yogurt, and set aside. 3. Build the all 3-4 parfaits in 16oz mason jars. First add the yogurt at the bottom of each. Then top with the blackberry jam, then all the sliced fruit, and finish with granola. 4. day 22: creamy 🍒 vanilla sleepy mocktail summer weeknight mocktails are a must for us and this has been a favorite of mine (for my PMOS girlies!) dark cherries are nature’s melatonin - they literally help your body produce more of it. blood oranges are loaded with vitamin C which helps regulate cortisol, so your nervous system can actually wind down. coconut milk and soy milk keep your blood sugar stable through the night so you’re not waking up at 3am for no reason. and the lemon? just because it’s delicious and your liver loves it!! 🍋 The recipe (serves 2!): Muddle 1/3 cup pitted dark cherries and 1 tsp of vanilla paste or syrup into the bottom of two tall glasses. Grab a blender and add 3 peeled oranges (blood oranges are my fav!), 12 oz of both soy and coconut milk and blend well. Fill each glass with ice, top with milk mixture and a squeeze of lemon. Enjoy immediately! #mocktail #hormonebalance #pcosdiet

Yesterday Steve took this picture of me and he said "you look so happy and free" and as I went to post it, I couldn't embody that without acknowledging again what's happening right now. This will never be a page that "doesn't do politics" - I mean I wrote an entire cookbook about how the dairy industry is rooted in capitalism, destruction of the planet and violence to mothers. This will always be a place that fights for humanity - and while I'm so anxious and angry - I will always cling onto hope over fear. Oh!
