Richland Parish, we're growing! 🎉 Today, we're thrilled to announce the expansion of the Richland Parish Data Center to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity. This expansion represents an investment of more than $50 billion in the Richland Parish region, supporting over 7,500 construction jobs at peak and 1,000 operational roles once completed. 💼 We're proud to announce $5 million in support for @louisianadeltacc — the largest gift in the college's history — with full scholarships for every Richland Parish high school graduate in data center trades. Beginning today, Source Louisiana is the default platform for companies looking to work at the site — giving more Louisiana businesses the opportunity to be part of this project. Since breaking ground in December 2024, we've contracted more than $1.6 billion with Louisiana businesses. We've worked closely with our general contractors — @dprconstruction, @turnerconstructioncompany, and @mortenson_construction — to hire locally and invest in workforce training. 🤝 This year, teachers in Richland Parish received yearly bonus checks 400% higher than last year — a direct result of increased tax revenues from our project. We're also contributing more than $1 billion to improve local roads, water, and wastewater infrastructure, and through our Data Center Community Action Grants, we've supported every public school in Richland Parish. 🌱 We work closely with Entergy Louisiana to ensure we pay for the energy and infrastructure we use so it doesn't impact the community — with our agreements expected to save customers approximately $2.65 billion over 20 years. We will match 100% of our energy use with clean and renewable energy and restore 100% of water consumed to local watersheds. 💙 We couldn't be prouder to call Louisiana home. The Sturgeon Data Centre represents a CA$13 billion investment in Sturgeon County, Alberta. We anticipate ~3,000 construction workers at peak, & 300+ jobs once operational. We’re also investing CA$60M in local roads & water infrastructure. We believe the success of a data center is only possible when the community succeeds alongside it, and we want Sturgeon County to thrive. One way we will put that commitment into action is by launching our annual Data Center Community Action Grants programme this fall, providing direct funding for local nonprofits that support the community. We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our data centers. When it comes to water, we prioritize water stewardship and have the global goal to be water positive in 2030. That means we will restore more water than we consume to local watersheds where Meta has owned operations. We also minimize our water use by design. Our data centre will use a water efficient closed-loop, liquid-cooled system with dry cooling, which means there is no operational water use in the cooling system. This means our annual operational water use is projected to be less than one typical golf course in the region or a 50 acre canola farm in the region. We also plan to add enough clean and renewable energy to the Alberta grid to match 100% of the electricity use of our Sturgeon Data Centre. We pay the full costs of our data centers’ energy use so other consumers aren’t negatively impacted. We worked closely with Greenlight Limited Partnership, Altalink, Capital Power, and the Alberta Electric System Operator to plan for and meet our energy needs years in advance of our data centre coming online. We’re bringing AI-enabled infrastructure to India 🇮🇳 Meta has entered an agreement with Reliance Industries Limited to lease our first AI-enabled data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat — bringing the infrastructure that enables our services and AI capabilities closer to one of our largest and fastest-growing communities. We’re proud to announce Tulsa, Oklahoma, as the home of our next AI data center. The Tulsa Data Center represents a $1B+ investment in Oklahoma. We’re also investing $25M+ in local roads & water infrastructure. We anticipate 1,000+ construction workers at peak, & ~100 permanent jobs once operational.  With all our data centers, we strive to be good neighbors. We pay the full costs of our data centers’ energy use, & water & wastewater service required to support our data centers so consumers aren’t paying our costs. We plan to add enough clean energy to the Tulsa grid to match 100% of the electricity use of our Tulsa Data Center. As of today, we have projects under contract that are adding 1,500+ megawatts of new clean energy to the grid in Oklahoma. We’re committed to minimizing our environmental impact. When it comes to water, we prioritize water stewardship & have the global goal to be water positive in 2030 -  restoring more water than we consume to local watersheds. This week we celebrated International Data Center Day — and for us, it’s an opportunity to reflect on what matters most: the data center communities we call home and celebrating the people who make these communities so special. In 2025 alone, we supported more than 430 local projects and donated over $11.8 million to schools, nonprofits, and small businesses across our 30 communities in the United States, Europe, and Asia. This is part of our long-term commitment to data center communities where since 2011, Meta has invested over $94 million in 3,700 local projects. El Paso, big things are happening! 🎉 This past October, we announced we were breaking ground on our El Paso Data Center. This community has already proven to be an amazing partner, and today we are thrilled to confirm the data center will officially grow to 1 gigawatt. We are increasing our investment in El Paso to more than $10 billion and will support more than 300 operational jobs, with over 4,000 construction workers onsite at peak construction. Since breaking ground, we've been proud to call El Paso home and are committed to being a good neighbor. Here's how: 🎓 A $500,000 workforce development grant in partnership with El Paso public schools to help students explore careers in STEM and the skilled trades through real-world learning experiences. 🤝 Launching our Meta Data Center Community Action Grants this fall to support local schools and nonprofits. 💧 Our goal is to be water positive by 2030 — restoring more water than we consume. In El Paso, we'll restore 200% of the water consumed by the data center to local watersheds. In collaboration with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, we're already supporting eight water restoration projects across Texas with partners including DigDeep, Frontera Land Alliance, Texan by Nature, and local farmers. ⚡ Adding enough clean and renewable energy to the grid to match 100% of our electricity use — with Meta projects already adding over 5,000 MW of clean energy across Texas. We pay the full costs of energy, water, and wastewater infrastructure so it does not impact the community. We couldn't be more proud to call El Paso home.
