Depriving the body? No! I just ditched the things that were dimming my glow + and gave my body space to thrive. here are 4 things that I ditched: No milk or dairy - not even a splash of alt milk. Cheese used to be my go-to, but I realized dairy left me inflamed, puffy, and uncomfortable. Dairy can increase inflammatory responses in the body, leading to brain fog, skin issues, and digestion problems No booze - not even “just one.” Every social drink came with a domino effect: Drink cravings → poor sleep sluggish mornings no energy to move my body. Alcohol-even a single glass-disrupts deep and REM sleep, lowers recovery, and triggers inflammation. The cost of a drink became way too high for the life I’m building. No bread. No processed foods. No problem. llove a good pizza night, but I’ve learned that satisfying instant cravings never leaves me feeling satisfied in the long run. Now, I choose whole, vibrant foods that fuel my glow, calm my cravings, and align with my energy. No coffee. I adored the ritual. The cozy smell. The mornings. But it overstimulated my nervous system and left me more tired than energized. According to research articles, caffeine blocks adenosine, delaying your body’s natural sleep cues and causing crashes later. Once I cleaned up my diet, I didn’t need coffee anymore. I was energized from within. Ditching these 4 things didn’t just trim my weight. It transformed my life.
