STL, meet NYT! After my gooey butter cake ice cream sandwiches went semi-viral last week, I’m excited to share my simpler, tart-sweet take on the classic for @nytcooking! Strawberry jam gets swirled into the gooey layer this time, making some excessively crispy, craggily edges and the perfect balance of sugary and tart. Both versions are best served with vanilla ice cream on an extremely hot day. Good thing we have a holiday coming up.
