Fly High Dad…. John Joseph Fanning A father of 5, grandfather of 8. His proudest achievements in his own words were his Kids and Grandchildren. A Larrikin till his last days, but a loyal friend to so many. Dad was not shy in the club, always becoming the Court Jester and Master of Ceremonies at any local drinking hole. I know he always did his best for all us kids and he would always light up and become 20 years younger when the little ones would visit. The QLD State Government Backs Palm Valley Gold Coast. Earlier today, Queensland Minister for the Environment and Tourism, The Honourable Andrew Powell, announced Palm Valley Gold Coast as a recipient of $4 million through the Queensland Government’s Tourism Icons Investment Fund. The fund backs projects that go beyond infrastructure to create major tourism experiences that attract visitors to Queensland and deliver long-term benefits for local communities. Project Partner and Ambassador Mick Fanning was on hand to accept the funding, marking a significant milestone for the Palm Valley project as it progresses towards construction later this year. The investment will support delivery of a unique blend of surf, sport and hospitality, designed to attract visitors from across Queensland and beyond.
