Here’s what I would bluntly say to a new homeschool mama… 🤎 You might be seeing other accounts constantly share about either the chaos of homeschooling or the perfect moments. Real life isn’t either of those things. 🤎 Your homeschool won’t (and shouldn’t) look like someone else’s 🤎 Once you find a rhythm, something will probably change and that rhythm won’t work anymore. No biggie - you can make changes that align with the needs of your family as you go along 🤎 Slow down and enjoy the extra time with your kiddos, but that doesn’t mean that you’ll love every single second. Struggling to homeschool multiple ages? I got you, mama! 💪🏻 Below are my tips to keep your homeschool running smooth (and keeping you sane in the process 🤪) ✏️ Create a visual schedule for each kiddo to track weekly lessons. Encourage ownership and flexibility within that schedule - feeling extra motivated to complete an additional lesson one day in order to have a lighter day the next? Great! As long as the lessons are complete each week, I don’t care about the specifics ✏️ Create independent work stations while completing one-on-one work with another kiddo. Avoid dividing your time between kids when one-on-one teaching is required - it’s impossible 🫠 ✏️ Be flexible. Take work outside, move rooms, or take movement breaks when needed. ✏️ Have fun! Your homeschool won’t look like someone else’s.
