Creatine keeps coming up…but for good reason! Historically, most of the research has been done on men, but the evidence for women is growing fast 🤝 Here’s what we know: ✨ creatine supports strength and body composition ✨ it may improve bone health in post-menopausal women ✨ There’s emerging evidence it benefits cognitive function and mood ✨ But the detail is in the dosing, the type of creatine, and how your body actually responds and that’s where most articles fall short. Our Registered dietitian @dieteticallyspeaking has written the full breakdown inside the Food Medic Hub, including safety considerations and exactly what the evidence says for women at different life stages 💕 If you want to read the full article, head to our link in bio. #thefoodmedic #creatine
Peanut Butter and Jam Breakfast Blondies!! ✨ we’re not sure it gets much better than this. This recipe fills us with so much nostalgia, but it’s also packed with fibre and actually keeps us full for hours. Make a batch and the weekend and enjoy each day next week 💕 Ingredients ⬇️ (Serves 12) 2 large ripe bananas mashed 200ml milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 120g smooth peanut butter 175g porridge oats 175g oat flour blend oats in blender to MYO 25g ground flaxseed ½ teaspoon baking powder 200g fresh raspberries 1 tbsp maple syrup Method ⬇️ 1. Begin by preheating the oven to 180ºc and lining a rectangular baking tin with parchment. 2. In a bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the milk, vanilla extract, and 60g of peanut butter. 3. Next add the porridge oats, oat flour, flaxseed, and baking powder. Mix to combine. You can add a little extra milk if the mixture is a little too stiff. 4. Empty the mixture into the lined baking tin and flatten into the corners. 5. Mash roughly 140g of the raspberries using a fork and combine with the maple syrup. 6. If your peanut butter isn’t very runny, heat it in the microwave in 20-second increments to loosen it up to a consistency that means you can drizzle it. 7. Now, add the mashed raspberries and peanut butter in lines on top of the blondie mixture and then, using a knife, make lines in the opposite direction to make swirls. 8. Pop the remaining raspberries into the mixture and then bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!🥰 #thefoodmedic #mealprep
